After getting the first victory, several aspects of the final storyline of the series are revealed to us and we use the “Ancient Gate” to travel to another planet and fight there. We also build a base, develop it quickly and go to war on the first available planet. In the game itself everything is the same. They use ceremonial rippers that only Space Marines can defy. A new race – the Sisters of Battle – are skilled warriors who inspire fear. Each battle slowly but surely leads you to victory and complete control of the surrounding planets. In the final expansion we have to fight for one of 9 races. Imperial troops are fed up with all the madness of turn-based story strategy. Orcish Rock still thirsts for power, guided only by its own greed The eldar pledge to steal the souls of the slain to perform dark rituals. With the help of the Ancient Gates you can move around all the planets of the system, but the game only offers us events for 4 people. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Storm of Souls – This is a unique opportunity to see an innovative reward system, new cards – 29 pieces, as well as two new races that brought aviation. Story campaign actions – four planets and three satellites. Just do not expect a big strategy campaign.The author’s supplement, thanks to which the developers received many awards, was implemented in the game universe with new races: Eldar and Sisters of Battle. Like the brutality of Warhammer 40,000? Like chess? Then go ahead and commit Regicide. But this all just tops off a game with a clear focus on its presentation. The audio is surprisingly detailed for what is really just a game of chess, with impeccable music and voice work. This makes the executions even more macabre, with graphic animations and amazingly morbid camera angles. The models of the units are wonderfully detailed, as are the maps. Maybe some extra factions would have helped too, swapping out the Orks and Space Marines for other races from the fiction. Perhaps the game could have benefited from a greater variety of maps and modes. The problem with Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is, that if you are not a fan of chess, it gets repetitive. This includes story elements written by Ross Watson - an official author of the franchise - and extra modes ranging from single-player Skirmish to an online-multiplayer Hotseat Campaign. Despite being modified chess, Warhammer 40K is packed with content.
